@FootynewsJohn Terry told a story about asking Lionel Messi for his shirt after a Barcelona game in 2012. He had promised his son a signed Messi shirt. After the match, Messi gave it to him and asked for Terry's in return. But then Terry remembered he needed the autograph, so he headed to Barcelona's dressing room and got turned away at first. Messi then came out, smiling, and jokingly asked if he wanted his boots too. Terry explained he had promised his son, and Messi waited while Terry went to find a pen. When Terry came back, Messi was still there, signed the shirt, and said he didn't want Terry's son to be disappointed, and that otherwise Terry would be sleeping outside. Terry called him the most humble player he's ever seen and the best in history.
