@not_a_newtThe Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt 2026 results from ARD show parties need at least 5% of votes to enter parliament. The FDP party received 2.3% and other excluded parties got 3.8%, totaling 6.1% that never make it into the legislature. Votes remaining in parliament after excluding those parties equal 93.9%. A parliamentary majority requires more than 46.95% of the vote. The AfD party holds 44.4% of the vote share, meaning they need an additional 2.55% or more to achieve a majority. A polling shift occurred five minutes after AfD appeared close to winning a state election. The BSW party is being monitored for whether it reaches the 5% threshold. If the BSW party secures 5% or more, AfD will not win a majority.
