@jolyonDeSantis is raising the alarm about what he calls a political earthquake and its consequences for the Republican Party. His projection: winning back the House in 2028 could be a real fight, and the Senate might not be back within reach until 2032. On gas prices, he pointed to the Iran conflict and said the pain lands on working-class people. "Gas is higher. It hurts people, working-class people, and it's higher because of the Iran conflict." He also accused Republicans who brushed off the price hikes of "gaslighting" their own voters. CNN's Samuel has the story, and the question hanging over it: is DeSantis the 2028 GOP candidate?
