Stiliyan Petrov shared his emotional story: “When I was Aston Villa captain, I was diagnosed with leukemia and had to quit football. During chemotherapy, I lost my hair and a lot of weight. The fans stood up and applauded me in the 19th minute of every match (my shirt number). In my hospital room, I could hear those cheers.”
