Jessie T. Usher turned down Straight Outta Compton role

Jessie T. Usher has revealed that he turned down the role of a young Dr. Dre in 'Straight Outta Compton' because the script portrayed the character in a way he considered too "sexual." He explained that the version of the movie that was released was not the one he initially read: "The movie we saw was not the movie I read..the movie i read totally was not in the script, (Dr) Dre was kind of a monster in that…in the version" (referring to the original script).
