LISA wax sculpture Buddhist Lent candle parade

A Buddhist Lent candle parade entry from the Khum Wat Bing community in Chok Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima, has gone viral for featuring a wax angel figure with the face of LISA (Lalisa Manobal). The village head explained that they wanted to modernize the traditional candle parade to appeal to younger generations, so they designed the angel to resemble the beloved K-pop idol. The Khum Wat Bing candle float will be part of the Nakhon Ratchasima Buddhist Lent Candle Festival, hosted by the Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality from July 28 to 30. Visitors can admire the intricately carved candle floats from communities across the province and see the “Angel Lisa” wax sculpture up close. c/o Erislynx
