Kaoru Mitoma traffic accident Tokyo

Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma was involved in a crash in Tokyo on July 8 when he went through a red light and struck a 48-year-old woman on a bicycle. She was hospitalized with a hand injury and missed two weeks of work. The Tokyo Prosecutor's Office looked at negligent driving charges but ultimately didn't file them, pointing out that both Mitoma and the cyclist had disregarded the signal. After the decision, his agency put out a statement saying sorry, and Mitoma himself said he'll take full responsibility.
