Cole Anthony signs with Melbourne United

Melbourne United just added a serious piece for the Hungry Jack's NBL27 season, signing Cole Anthony to a one-year deal. He comes in with 367 NBA games under his belt between the Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks, including a dozen playoff appearances. Over that stretch he averaged 12.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 4.1 boards a night. His best scoring outburst was a 37-point game against the Philadelphia 76ers while he was still with Orlando. The move also sets up a reunion with Joe Ingles, his old Magic teammate, who said Anthony is an elite scorer and competitor that defenses have to account for, and predicted United fans will love him. Head coach Jacob Chance called him the perfect fit, pointing to his ability to score, facilitate, defend, and the winning mentality he brings. Anthony was the 15th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft after playing at North Carolina. Per OlgunUluc. #NBA
