In China’s BoxOffice, ChristopherNolan’s epic TheOdyssey had 4th & finam round of limited previews today, adding SPECTACULAR $3.5M on SUN over just 1.999 screenings, for a $7.6M 4-day previews total. BIGGEST previews under 2.000 screenings of all time for Hollywood! 9th day of Pre-sales remained strong ahead of its AUG 14 FRI Opening Day ending SUN with $2.8M 8-day cume for the AUG 14-AUG16 period, with 4 days yet to go. Pre-sales Breakdown: $1.3M AUG 14 FRI Opening Day $910k AUG 15 SAT $590k AUG 16 SUN As always, note that the pre-sales cume above doesn’t include $7.6M from the 4 rounds of limited previews from AUG 01, 02, 08 & 09 limited previews, so the film has already $10.4M already in the can. Keep in mind that right now only 24k screenings are open for bookings for its AUG 14 FRI Opening Day, so pre-sales’ pacing will keep growing the more screenings are made available. INCREDIBLE WOM, receiving an 9.7⭐️ score from ticket buyers on Maoyan, equivalent to an A+ Cinemascore! TheOdyssey could genuinely challenge TENET as the biggest Nolan hit, and also challenge F1 & maybe even FreeGuy as the biggest Non-franchise Hollywood hit in China.
