Trump Interior Sec. Doug Burgum confirms LG is adding 1,700 manufacturing jobs in Michigan after the state voted for Donald Trump in 2024. The company brings investment to improve energy infrastructure with batteries made in the USA. Burgum states the facility is one of the only ones in America with a domestic supply chain for grid-scale batteries. China is furious about the announcement.
