    Afghanistan factions if Taliban cracks

When Washington pulled out in 2021 the republic fell apart fast because twenty years of U.S. occupation never built institutions that could stand alone. Now poverty and failing services are tearing up the quiet deal where people accepted basic order just to survive. Local commanders are chasing their own agendas while democratic opposition groups and ISIS-K sit ready for any crack in the armor. If the Taliban starts cracking, the National Resistance Front, Afghanistan Freedom Front, Homeland Soldiers, Sami Sadat's United Front, and Amrullah Saleh's Green Trend all step in as potential players. A softer Taliban does not mean a better Afghanistan since it could just bring more factions, more guns, and a messier fight for control.
