This Brasileirão table is a projection based on current performance, not a probability calculation. The method looks at the average points per game from past opponents, accounting for home and away splits, and applies that same logic to future fixtures. It finds the difference between past and future difficulty. A ratio above 1 means an easier campaign ahead, while below 1 signals a harder run. That difference gets multiplied by the current points per game average to project future scoring rates. Take that projected rate, multiply it by the remaining games, and add it to the current score to get the final projected total.
