Wazalendo arrests in Uvira

Arrests of WAZALENDO leaders accused of working with AFC-M23 have been reported, and among those taken in is the man who calls himself General Makanaki Kisimbira. The same night automatic weapons fire sent UVIRA into panic, with the shooting getting heavier around MULONGWE SUD, a suburb of the city. Word reaching us from sources in BUJUMBURA is that FELIX TSHISEKEDI is afraid the WAZALENDO could walk away from him, after all the promises they were given that were never honored. WAZALENDO fighters are spread across KINSHASA, BUTEMBO, BENI, BUNIA and UVIRA, and in those places they have taken stock of just how far the president's orders actually reach. The claim being made is that he leans first on his KASAIAN brothers plus foreign mercenaries inside the FARDC and units borrowed from abroad, while the other Congolese communities that make up his army get overlooked. Out of all that, several mutiny acts are being anticipated
