Andy Carroll autobiography revelation

The former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Andy Carroll has finally opened up about a terrifying incident that happened inside his own home back in 2021. In his new autobiography, he details how a man described as a famous friend of his ex-partner arrived at the residence with the stated purpose of watching a boxing match. After Carroll had consumed alcohol and drifted off to sleep, he woke up to find this visitor attempting to sexually assault him. He immediately ejected the intruder from the house, but when the man tried to come back in, Carroll rendered him unconscious and then contacted the police right away. The legal outcome was severe: the alleged assailant received a three-year prison sentence and was officially added to the sex offender registry. Carroll states clearly that the trauma from this event persists to this day, yet he decided to share this account publicly thanks to the support of his current partner. This is a story he had kept completely confidential for years prior to the publication of his book.
