Danilo on Real Madrid mental health

Danilo laid bare the crushing weight of his time at Real Madrid, admitting that the sheer scale of the club became the peak of a personal crisis. He described suffering to such an extent that he was forced to seek psychological help, reaching points where he genuinely felt he had forgotten how to play football. The pressure manifested as a prison built from constant criticism, social media scrutiny, and external demands that left him trapped. It was only when he began working with a sports psychologist that he started finding a way out. Danilo made it clear that clubs often ignore player treatment until they realize the financial damage is happening right in front of them. He pointed out a tragic pattern where many youth stars never make it to professional football because they get crushed by an avalanche of negativity. At the highest level, money, women, and fame arrive all at once, raising the question of how any young person is supposed to handle that sudden exposure without breaking. His conclusion is a direct call for the sport to be more humanized, emphasizing that we cannot forget there is a real person behind every footballer.
