Mikel Merino Spain super-sub stats

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Mikel Merino might be the ultimate super-sub in football right now. • In this international break alone, he came on against Croatia to provide an assist, scored the winner against Czechia and then came off the bench at half-time against Croatia to score a brace after Spain had been trailing. • His World Cup knockout run was even more ridiculous. Merino came off the bench to score the 91st-minute winner against Portugal before doing it again four days later, scoring in the 88th minute to send Spain past Belgium and into the semi-finals. • Merino has scored 15 goals for Spain, with 13 of those coming in his last 24 appearances. Across those 24 games, he has played just 1,012 minutes, averaging a goal every 77 minutes. He is the embodiment of the word clutch.
