Big Cass on returning to WWE as a heel

Podcasts had the reunion story locked in before Big Cass even showed up solo, and that's part of why this run has been a grind. Fans were sitting there like wait, what, when no Enzo walked out with him. The question was simple enough: does the old tag run make the singles stuff harder? His answer was an immediate yes. Coming back to WWE as a heel is the whole reason. Last time that viewing audience clocked him, he was half of a baby face act he rates among the hottest going, top three in the entire company at that point, and he'll tell you to argue with a wall if you see it differently. Walking out alone on the villain side instead of starting fresh? Way more difficult. Crowds boo him, sure, but they also yell the old catchphrases at him, and he figures that's the point. Getting under his skin is the intention, and as a heel that's a good thing. So the media narrative and the crowd both made it messy, and by his own accounting he's still managed to get booted out of buildings, which was really the goal all along.
