Gonçalo Ramos demands Portugal start

Gonçalo Ramos is done waiting for a call and has publicly demanded the starting striker spot for PORTUGAL. The frustration comes from two major tournaments where he barely saw the pitch, specifically Euro 2024 and the World Cup 2026. He believes he deserves to play more than others, stating directly: «If anyone deserves to play, it's me. The coach and the whole country can see that». The situation feels especially sharp because he scored a decisive goal against Croatia but still got no minutes in the match against Spain. While he claims there is no resentment toward Roberto Martínez, he admits the coach's decisions have caused deep frustration. His goal is clear: he wants to be the primary starter instead of an emergency substitute. It forces the question of whether Ramos actually deserves more opportunities given his performance.
