Thierry Henry on Messi FC Barcelona

Thierry Henry draws a sharp line between how Cristiano Ronaldo handles training anger and what Lionel Messi does instead, calling the latter very rare. You know the drill during practice: sometimes you take a hit and ask for a foul, but then the coach steps in and tells everyone to keep playing. That specific session was a 7 vs 1 match on half a field in a space that wasn't small, with defenders of great quality like Yaya Touré, Busquets, or Puyol. The team needed passes through those high-quality players just to score, yet when Messi got a hard uncalled foul, he didn't argue. He went straight to his goalkeeper asking for the ball, telling him to give it to him. Then Messi dribbled past everyone as if nothing happened and scored the goal. Henry says he doesn't know many players who can do this, noting that during his entire career, he has never seen anyone else perform this exact action. #ThierryHenry
