Fresh poster drops for 'Other Mommy' with Jessica Chastain, about a kid who befriends a creepy thing in the house that looks just like her m
the guy behind Host knows how to make you feel unsafe in your own home, so yeah I'm optimistic
calling it 'Other Mother' would've sounded like a textbook title, the childish 'Mommy' actually hits the horror vibe better
if a movie relies on that many jump scares I'm only watching it years later with the sound off
really wanna see how they translate the book's atmosphere to screen
that vibe is straight out of Chainsaw Man
Honestly if a demon showed up looking like her I'd just ask for an autograph instead of running
finally something that actually looks scary and not just jump scares. Chastain carrying the film makes me confident they wont mess up the source material too bad.
creepy doppelganger vibes remind me of Coraline
Bryce Dallas Howard would nail that uncanny valley vibe
finally a horror movie where the dad sees the monster instead of gaslighting his kid
that trailer was so scary I had to watch it twice just to prove my eyes weren't lying
her smug grin during the twist is the actual horror for me
heard the whole theater scream 'this is for kids' right as it cut to black 😭
the Mama connection is wild, she's basically the queen of creepy maternal figures now
Octavia as the other mom would be terrifying in the best way
goodnight mommy is the one that actually breaks you
