Reports show Israeli settlers were filmed spitting at a shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Jerusalem while taking part in the Flag March. The episode does not stand alone. It joins other recent cases such as cigarettes left on statues honoring Christian figures. Lack of respect for Christianity now appears to be a recurring pattern.
