Amidotomy! Only after Jack ordered his men to fight back did John realize something was wrong. John had no choice. He quickly led his men away. Still, John never truly left. He went to the edge of Jack's fortress and kept watching from there. After all, Jack controlled too much food and water. John could not give up that easily. Later, after some digging, John finally found a chance to make a move. Right in front of Jack's fortress stood an oil refinery. Jack's armored soldiers all got their fuel from that place. Every day fuel trucks traveled back and forth between refinery and fortress. If John could take control of that refinery, he would have leverage against Jack. So early next morning, John stopped a fuel truck. Then John ordered his men to put on disguises. They took over driving duties. Once everything was ready, John and his men started putting on a show. They pretended someone was chasing them from behind. John wanted to trick refinery guards into opening up. Guards saw what was happening, and fell for it right away. The moment refinery gates opened, John rushed in with his men. They took over the entire refinery in no time. By making this move first, John finally had something to bargain with. John went to Jack and offered fuel access in exchange for more food and water. John never expected Jack to look completely unafraid. Jack even admitted both sides could go to war at any moment. That attitude left John speechless. Right then Jack suddenly noticed a girl standing behind John. Seeing how healthy she looked, Jack immediately became interested in her.
