Bro an Oregon startup called Panthalassa is building floating AI data centers that run on wave energy. The nodes are 85 meters long and stay below the surface, so as waves roll through, turbines spin up to juice the AI chips. Those chips sit in sealed containers and get cooled straight by seawater. All the queries go out through SpaceX Starlink. They're already testing a prototype named Ocean-2 off the coast of Washington.

Oregon-based startup Pantolasa is building floating AI data centers to address the growing power and cooling requirements of artificial intelligence. The system consists of 85-meter long nodes designed to remain below the ocean's surface. As waves move the structure, turbines generate electricity to power the AI chips. The chips are housed inside sealed containers and cooled using seawater. AI queries are transmitted through the SpaceX Starlink satellite network. A prototype named Ocean 2 is already being tested off the coast of Washington.
