Neuroplasticity and habit formation

    di Rose 🎞️: Self-Improvement

Repeating actions lock into the brain, whether you are learning a skill or doomscrolling and procrastinating. Neuroplasticity is neutral, hardwiring bad habits just as faithfully as good ones. Every day, what you repeat physically reshapes who you are because everything done again and again becomes part of the brain. Habits like procrastinating, scrolling endlessly, or getting angry lock in just as much as habits of learning or showing gratitude. Every impression, lesson, and action creates new connections between neurons where some pathways grow stronger while others fade away. This process is called neuroplasticity. It is how a child learns to speak, how an adult builds new skills, and how the brain can recover after injury. Plasticity is both a strength and a vulnerability since the brain reinforces the habit of learning just as faithfully as the habit of avoiding. Learning never really ends.

Everything we do again and again becomes part of the brain. It locks in any repetition. The habit of procrastinating, scrolling endlessly, or getting angry. Just as much as the habit of learning or showing gratitude. Every impression, every lesson, every action creates new connections between neurons. Some pathways grow stronger, others fade away. This process is called neuroplasticity. It's how a child learns to speak, how an adult builds new skills, and how the brain can recover after injury. plasticity is both a strength and a vulnerability the brain reinforces the habit of learning just as faithfully as the habit of avoiding which means learning never really ends every day the brain is literally reshaping who we are
