Taiwan satellite launch failure

Taiwan's first test of a locally developed satellite launch vehicle veered off course shortly after liftoff. The rocket turned away from the sea and crashed into an uninhabited mountain area, causing nearby residents to initially mistake it for an incoming missile. NCSIST activated the self-destruct system upon detecting the trajectory anomaly. No injuries or property damage were reported.
