Sen. TED BUDD (R-NC) presided over a pro forma session that gaveled in and out at noon, with the recess still rolling until Sept. 14. Chuck Grassley, President Pro Tempore, appointed him under Rule 1, Paragraph 3. Four more pro forma sessions are on the calendar. Budd shot down claims that Republican Senators are blocking POTUS nominees or committing 'treason' by doing so, calling that idea as ridiculous as it is false.
