Windhorst compares Cooper Flagg and LeBron at 19
LeBron's offensive dominance at 18 and 19 was more impressive, per Brian Windhorst on the Hoop Collective, and the numbers back that up. But flip the comparison to defense and fundamentals, and Cooper Flagg gets the edge. Windhorst calls Flagg the better defender at 19, gives him the cleaner fundamental jump shot, and says he's more positionally versatile on that end. Plenty of check marks on the LeBron comps slider at the same developmental edge, just not the same physical imposition.

Bobby, I'm telling you, he's not the offensive talent that LeBron was as a 19-year-old. LeBron's ability to impose his physical talents on the offensive end from age 18 was more impressive. And therefore, he put up huge numbers and was just physically dominant. Cooper Flagg's a better defender than LeBron at 19. Cooper Flag has got a better fundamental jump shot at 19.
