JakenBakeLIVE

Jake, known online as JakenBakeLIVE, is an American IRL and travel streamer. Born July 28, 1990, in Los Angeles, California (TheLegit), he created his Twitch channel in March 2010 and moved to Tokyo in June 2017, where unscripted street-level streams of Japanese city life made him one of English-language Twitch's best-known Japan streamers (BirthdayDBs).

After three years in Japan he relocated back to Los Angeles in early 2020 (Dexerto), later spending time in Shanghai — a rare base for a Western IRL streamer. He has over 680,000 Twitch followers, competed in the PogChamps 4 chess tournament in 2021, and is a fixture of the fighting-game community at events like EVO.[modifica]

Born July 28, 1990, in Los Angeles; he keeps childhood and schooling details private (TheLegit). He created the jakenbakeLIVE Twitch channel on March 22, 2010, and moved to Tokyo in June 2017 to study Japanese and begin IRL streaming (BirthdayDBs). 2021: competes in PogChamps 4; Twitch passes 560,000 followers.

2022: Trainwreckstv gifts $120,000 for a dream car live on stream (Sportskeeda); confronts stream-sniper CoolSlick in Tokyo in December (Dexerto).

2026: attends EVO, posting a mini-vlog from the fighting-game event. A claimed viral "Thailand rescue" video could not be verified and is dropped.[modifica]

The veteran Japan streamer: unscripted, street-level, occasionally chaotic. Years of Tokyo nights made him a reference point for IRL travel content, and his open gamer identity — fighting games first — keeps him legible to the FGC crowd.[modifica]
