@not_a_newtgas in the EU is climbing hard again, and this time nobody seems able to stop it. prices exploded when the Ukraine war began, then subsidies, cutting back on usage and buying from other regions brought them down somewhat, except they still never got near what they were in 2020 and 2021. the problems piling up globally mean the EU can't push back on these increases anymore. that control is gone. EUR/MWh keeps ticking upward. for big industry, the outcome of this trend might be lethal, and they're already scraping by as it is.
