    RC-135U Combat Sent deployment

@jolyonOne of the two RC-135U Combat Sent planes in the entire U.S. Air Force inventory is reportedly headed to the Middle East, per AmichaiStein1 and writer Samuel. What makes this Boeing airframe worth watching is the job itself: it picks up hostile radar signals, works out what they are, and helps commanders grasp how an adversary's air defenses actually run. The payoff is electronic intelligence that lets other aircraft fly against advanced defensive networks. A rare asset, and a strategically important one.

A Flightradar24 screenshot shows a United States Air Force Boeing RC-135U Combat Sent aircraft, tail number 64-14849 nicknamed COBRA49, flying over the Atlantic west of Ireland and the UK. The plane appears as a small red icon with a purple flight path on a dark blue digital map of Europe, North Africa, and the North Atlantic, with other flights like BLUE81 and RCH920 also visible. The left sidebar displays detailed flight data including altitude of 33,050 feet, ground speed of 454 knots, registration, serial number, and aircraft type, alongside a photo of the white military jet on a runway. The overall style is a realistic live tracking interface with the Flightradar24 logo in the top right and various data panels showing barometric altitude, vertical speed, and ADS-B information.
